Moonrise Kingdom

Moonrise Kingdom is another great film from writer and director, Wes Anderson. This film reminded me of the youthful awkwardness seen in Rushmore, one of my favorites. The main character, Sam played by Jared Gilman, falls in love (at first sight) with an equally troubled raven, Suzanne played by Kara Hayward. Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton, and Jason Schwartzman all do a great job in the film. View the trailer below.

Note the LL Bean Duck boots, low and the red toggle button coat.

The narrator, Bob Balaban, shows classic rugged style as seen here.

Check out the soundtrack from the film. There’s some very cool tracks by the Choir Of Downside School, Purley. There are some great soprano young-male voices featured in the movie.

After you listen to the soundtrack, be sure to check out, or re-watch, these older films from Wes Anderson.

Bottle Rocket

Rushmore

I do have to say, I was a little sad to see that Kumar did not have at least a tiny role in the film.

I actually found this found site while looking around the web: http://rushmoreacademy.com/
