With roots dating back to 1971 on Oahu’s North Shore, Lightning Bolt is dedicated to the surfer’s way of life. The company was started by world champion surfer, Mr. Pipeline, Gerry Lopez, and  surfboard shaping legend Jack Shipley in Hawaii.

Today, Lightning Bolt is redefined as a surfboard and clothing company and its ties to the North Shore are not forgotten. The philosophy, “surfing in it’s purest form, is more than just a sport, it’s a way of life” is upheld in their collection.
